Cheadle Vs The Pack (Mac Cup Final.)
Cheadle 3 - Pack 0.
When the opposition turn up on a coach (even though they live next door,) wear suits complete with carnations and set out cones for a warm up you expect them to be half decent, and they were. Not decent enough though. We had our first 11 out today, some half fit but that 11 hasnt lost a game this year and has conceded one goal. We battled hard for 90 mins, 60 of which were very close after Garvey put us 1 up but as the game went on and opened up we started to look very dangerous going forward and scored two very good goals. There were then one or two naughty challenges from the pack horse, who had tried to mix it all game. Still atleast they had a comfy coach to ride home on. Great trophy.

So you obviously closed their wingers (whingers) down.
So technically.....I have won the Macc cup as well.
Told you they would find Cheadle very intimidating and after I spoke to Cowley last night, it appears they did their usual and wanted to literally fight for the trophy in the end.
You should have seen Ged's face, Andy...He just loved it and has decided you can stay in our League now.
It's the one question both us and Poynton were asking at the end of our game.
So see you a week on Friday when The referees get another hiding from Brazil over 30's....then presentation night...where we all dog each other to death....and you get to see those two great traditions we do every year.
Where we make Heaton Mersey sit outside at the burger van.
And as always, the winners of the Macc Cup buy the drinks for everyone.
You obviously don't know but that's gone on for years in our league.

Bit like Pearl Harbour
Two phone calls, three e-mails for what will go down in history as the day of infamy, worse than Dallas 1963.
On a beautiful April morning in the semi-final of the Macc Cup, my team played Macc Police, they were managed by relatives of Brian Foden as they incorporated Police from everywhere in the country.Andy Scott even played for them from Scott sports and he had a nickname ! !
At 0-0 with ten minutes to go I scored a fabulous goal and ran back to the half way line flicking the V-sign at each and every one of them calling them dickheads an inch from their faces.
We lost 3-1.
At 3.00pm precisely, that afternoon, a contingent of three police cars, klaxons blaring, appeared on my road.
I went to the front window expecting a riot, to find at least 8....count them.....eight....Policemen
Flicking the V-sign calling me a Dickhead.
Worst day of my life.
P.S.....Ashy, you know what your memory is like.
It was ME that scored that fabulous goal...
