Poynton WMC v Wilmslow (League Cup Final)

by FC Wilmslow, Monday, May 10, 2010, 11:15 @ faulky

So...You all asked her to let me go on here drunk last night. Impossible, I just went unconscious.
I have not been that drunk for a week and drifted off in dreams of Stevie Lunt with that cup, so marvellously earned and so graciously accepted by Poynton Workies F.C.
Either way, it was a great game to watch and everyone, I believe would have paid to watch.
It illustrated how talented the league is, how much of a tactical genius I truly am, and furthermore, how good referees can be on a good surface, with linesmen and two teams not saying 'In the back', every 30 seconds.
In my head we were winning 12-0 at half time, then Poynton noticed we had Hammy at centre half. They then proceeded to batter us for 20 minutes and only Diggler using his Jedi 'force' allowing the ball to bounce of his post into his arms at 4-3 let us off.
Taking Tom from left wing to Centre half should in effect have got me my Grade 1 coaching badge.
The referee allowed this game to flow and gets a ten from me for the quality from both sides to be at the forefront.
Plus, for the first time ever.....
He didn't send me off ! !
