FC Bruce 4 - Cheadle 3
Not unexpected given the way this season is going. Two own goals and a penalty for Bruce. We missed a penalty and a glut of chances. Still guess its only fair to let someone else win it for a change.

Richmond 2nd 3 - D&C Athletic 2
Took us a while to get going but once we did goals from Lee (2) and Matt (1) gave us a 3 - 0 lead at half time. As the waether deteriorated at half time so did our performance and all credit to D&C who came at us in the 2nd half scoring to great goals and leaving us struggling to keep ahead. If our forwards could have converted some of the chances we had it might have been more comfortable but we just managed to hold on for the win. Great battling performance under poor conditions

Poynton WMC 1 - 2 Pack Horse
Not an ideal start to the weekend, 2 big players missing through injuries and then people not turning up. Luckily managed to get 12 down.
Was a very good performance, and this was an extremely tight game. 1-0 down early in the game, but a superb solo goal from Kyle Woodward took it to half time at 1-1.
Pack then started the second half the stronger and we couldnt get out of our half. Not many chances were coming for either side, but Pack got the winner with 15 to go. Slight hint of offside, but a fine finish nevertheless.
Really disappointing to be out of the Macc Cup, but couldnt have asked much more from our players as we gave everything and defended well.
Good luck to Pack Horse who took their chances well and came out victorious in an extremely tight encounter.

So that's Shirley reserves gone then.....
Shirley firsts I have heard are out as well, beaten by the Bruce.....
Don't know about peover, I'm just trying to think if we are out as well.
Erm.....No.....I won again !
Even though I only won 2-1, it was technically 26-1 as Scotty missed 12 sitters and Stevie Lunt missed 2 penalties.
Tom Brookes turned into Gladiator again and scored both our goals, he was just amazing today...one man show.....one man team....and really everything I have ever taught him.......
Anyway, let's talk about me again.....
I thought my tactics were spot on, and as I progress to the final (like I'm not going to win it, yeah, right), and all this with my second team........
I've decided Dave Williams is right......I'm just a great Manager

To Wilmslow FC........
I have seen all the texts tonight, please stop telling me I am amazing, I am aware of this, believe me.
Furthermore, stop with the jokes about Poynton and especially Diggler....
He is my very close personal friend and he is hurting at the moment, and I don't find any of this remotely funny (honestly)....especially you Skipper, alright the lad is entitled to put a few pounds on but there's no need for those comments.
And Tom, you should know better, (and you spell 'Kleenex' like that by the way.)
Anyway, let's see if I care who I get in the next round.....

Tom Brookes...........
You were fantastic today pal, and I am sure the whole team agree.
Even though you are my son and not blessed with my good looks, I say this without any nepotism, you were a credit to the sport today.
You have had a lot to put up with this year.......Chris having you as a slave, Ben Oakes stealing from you....(sorry, it's still not him apparantly)and Sarha not getting her croissants.........
That today was something I am very proud of.
You were brilliant.......
Still not as good as me, but that was excellence today.

Westlands vs Richmond Rovers 1sts
Westlands 3 RRFC 4 (HT 1-1)
First half we dominated possession and territory spending long periods in the Westlands half however Westlands first attack gave them a goal and our Achilles heel was there for all to see. Keeper Blackie insists it was going wide and a bobble put it in the bottom corner. I am not sure. A great 30 yarder from Ryan O'Toole put us level at half time. Westlands took the lead within minutes of the restart with a goal which was well offside ( The words of the Westlands goal scorer not mine, reluctantly agreed by the ref at the end of the game as well !) However we stuck to the task and a neatly taken goal by Bowdy levelled it again. Further goals from Craig (a diving header) and a cracker from Man of the Match Miller and we thought the game was safe. Credit to Westlands they didn't give up and when Kev "the puddle" Kennerk decided to gift their winger a chance he did not disappoint to make it a nervy 4-3 win (the 4th 4-3 win this season).
A new ref to us this week had a good game despite being ill ( all credit to him for turning out on a filthy morning), although we still managed to pick up a couple of bookings.

Disley 2nds 3 - 2 Heald Green
Great game played out by 2 equal teams. Penalty saved by the HG keeper kept the scores level then a swirling (in the wibd) long range shot game Disley the lead. Resolute defending/bad finishing kept it at one nil until a Disley corner was swept upfield for Heald Green to equalise.
HT 1 - 1
2nd half was all attack from Disley with some tired legs on Heald Green. 2 break away gols, from HG throw ins deep in the Disley half saw a slight re jig of the bare 11 on show and for 20 mins HG battered the Disley end but only able to pull it back by 1 more goal.
For a 3rd Div game there was some good football played on a windy boggy Newtown PF. Sad to lose but enjoyed all 90 mins of it.
D&C started the game well, pressuring RR at the the back. It was RR who took the lead after a cross deceived a few players and was put away by their lad. RR doubled their lead when their lad didn't give up chasing the ball down, managed to get it past our GK and had an empty net. RR made it 3 and despite D&C playing some good football and constantly pressing we were down at the break.
D&C played well in the 2nd half and after seeing a few chances come to nothing D. Slater scored a great long range strike. D&C kept pushing. D. Slater scored another long range effort to pull it back to 3-2. RR hit the post and had a few crosses cleared. D&C kept at it until the 90th and were very unlucky not to get the equaliser I felt we fully deserved.
HT 3-0

D&C Scorers - D. Slater x2
Once again ref didn't have much to blow for, good game for both sides.

Hoylake 3-5 Bredbury Stockport Sunday Cup Quarter Final.
How we lost this i will never know, we went 2 goals down in the first 9 mins, but we battled back to score in the 16th & 23rd mins it was all us from then on but we couldn`t put our chances away it stayed 2-2 till just after half-time when they took the lead again only for us to equalise soon after ,then a disputed penalty kick when the player looked to loose his footing in the wet conditions (not even any of the Bredbury players claimed for a penalty),put them 4-3 in front again we had chances to score but just couldn`t,the 5th goal came from a corner when 1 of our players stooped to head clear but flew off his head into the net, it was a game we deserved to win but didnt.
Scorers : Jamie Firth, Tommy Sleigh 2.
